Curtains Up

Ah I’ve finally caught on to the blogging craze. I have a habit of doing that actually. I always catch on to things like fads slowly though I can absorb things fast. I’ve personally viewed blogs as a wasted opportunity for people to express themselves as most just write about their mundane lives like a good friend of mine says. Giving minute by minute reports of what happens every day.

I don’t think I wanna jump onto this bandwagon. I’d rather write about the issues in my life. News, philosophy, politics and law. These are what matters to me. The furthering of intellectual reasoning.

I actually started this blog a few months ago while I was bored. Now as I am bored again and having read my good mate, blob aka Wei xun's, blog I thought why not try something new for the heck of it. Yes some guys think it’s a bit sissy to write in diaries as it has perennially been perceived as a feminine thing to do. But then again this is not a diary. It’s a reflection of my life and how I fit into society.

Who am I one might ask. Sure we can get into technicalities. Some of the details are under profile. I’m 18 this year, a Singaporean Pakistani. I love spicy food and like many other guys love to watch soccer. My favourite club is Arsenal. I study in Temasek Polytechnic. I am currently doing my 3 year diploma course that will accredit me with Diploma in Business. I am majoring a Human Resources and Corporate Communications.

I am a member of the TP debate squad. Just a normal member of the squad with no added responsibilities. Phew... In the squad I’m known as Paki. We all go by nicknames in the club. The people in the club are my best mates. My mentor is my coach, Aji. He has thought me many things not only related to debates but to life as well. He’s a quirky and humorous fella. I’ll probably mention about him in other posts.

I’m blessed with a great family with both my parents and my 3 older siblings. Yes I’m the youngest. There are many facets to my life. Many still shrouded in mystery due to who I am. Over time loyal readers of this blog will get to know. Oh well I have to stop to accompany Sethu and Bhavs to KFC for lunch.
